1. Who we are
Gutty is a company registered in England and Wales. We provide a gut health food scoring app and associated web services. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@guttyapp.com.
2. What data we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and any products you scan or save. We also collect usage data automatically, including device type, operating system, app interactions, and approximate location (country level only). We do not collect precise GPS location.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide and improve the Gutty service, personalise your gut health scores and recommendations, send you product updates or health tips (only if you opt in), respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data sharing
We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate Gutty — including Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and analytics tools. All providers are contractually required to protect your data. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of users.
5. Cookies & tracking
Our web pages use minimal cookies required for the site to function (e.g. session state). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly.
6. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@guttyapp.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. Children
Gutty is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of Gutty after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
